Summary
Mr. Sklar is formerly a Patent Examiner in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and clerk at the USPTO Board of Appeals. Now a senior partner, Mr. Sklar joined the firm in 1972. He is actively involved in counseling clients on intellectual property matters, in all aspects of patent, trademark and copyright application preparation and prosecution and in licensing and enforcement.
Mr. Sklar is the Speakers Chairman for the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association. He is a member of a number of community organizations and has held a number of offices in those organizations. He is a guest speaker in the E-City program in Cleveland, Ohio and he is a member of the Advisory Board for Project Love, an education organization that empowers teens to lead with kindness, caring and mutual respect. Additionally, Mr. Sklar is a member of the Society for Information Display (SID), and he has participated in many of their annual meetings as well as a number of other technology meetings in the U.S., e.g., SPIE, and abroad, e.g., International Display Workshop in Japan. Mr. Sklar was named an Ohio Super Lawyer by Law & Politics in January 2005.
