Biography

Larry Drasner’s practice includes various aspects of intellectual property procurement, enforcement, and litigation. Larry’s practice includes domestic and international patent prosecution in electrical and electro-mechanical arts. Exemplary technologies include consumer electronic devices including, for example, audiovisual equipment and displays, portable communication devices, and related networking equipment and electronic device interfaces.

With his biomedical background, Larry also has patent prosecution expertise in medical devices, examples of which include, cardiovascular ultrasounds and imaging, electroencephalogram interface systems and attention measurement devices, and drug delivery devices. Other technological areas of expertise include computer implemented electronic processing and analysis, seals, valves, pressure regulators, and hydraulic pumps and motors.

Having previously been a career law clerk in a federal district court for almost ten years, Larry also has substantive litigation experience in various aspects of federal substantive and procedural intellectual property law. Prior to his government service, Larry was a member of the intellectual property section of a large law firm, where he focused on all phases of intellectual property litigation. His private practice litigation experience includes patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and employee non-compete agreements.

When not working, Larry and his family are roller coaster junkies, with no ride being too high, too fast, or too intense. Larry and his daughter also have been studying Japanese-style Jujitsu together for many years.
