Biography

Matt Moldovanyi is a patent attorney with considerable experience in client counseling and patent preparation and prosecution. With a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in computer engineering, he excels at quickly comprehending complex inventions and converting the inventions into high-quality patent applications. His practice focuses primarily on mechanical and computer technologies, including autonomous vehicles, aerospace products and systems, consumer products, healthcare systems, and manufacturing systems.

Matt also performs patent-related analysis related to patentability, freedom-to-operate, infringement opinions, and validity in the mechanical and computer engineering fields as well as preparing and prosecuting patents for both foreign and domestic clients. Throughout Matt’s career, he has strived to deliver exceptional client service and produce high-quality patent applications in an efficient and timely manner.

Prior to joining Renner Otto, Matt worked for a small Intellectual Property boutique firm where he gained invaluable experience working more closely with both small inventors and inventors at Fortune 500 companies.

At Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Matt graduated cum laude and earned the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property. During law school, he served as an Executive Note Editor for the Case Western Reserve University Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine. He was published in the Case Western Reserve University Journal of Law, Technology, & the Internet for an article entitled “Alice: Status Quo or Total Chaos?” Case Western Reserve University Journal of Law, Technology, & the Internet, Volume 7 page 121.
