Biography

Nick works with his clients to understand their business objectives and then help them develop and implement intellectual property (IP) protection strategies to help them accomplish those goals.

Although his practice focuses mainly on brand and product design protection via trademarks and design patents, Nick also has significant experience in enforcing and defending against all types of intellectual property in state and federal courts and administrative proceedings at the USPTO. From procurement to enforcement, Nick’s broad range of experience makes him a valuable asset at every step along the way in the growth and management of his clients’ intellectual property portfolios.

Nick graduated with honors from the Chicago-Kent College of Law with a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. While attending Chicago-Kent, he was the author or co-author on papers published in the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal and Loyola University Chicago’s Annals of Health Law.

Nick graduated summa cum laude from the Ohio State University with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering, with a metallurgy specialization. Specifically, he conducted research into the hydrogen embrittlement behavior of nickel-based super alloys. While attending Ohio State, Nick also worked as an engineering intern performing failure analysis in the materials group of an aerospace company in Akron, Ohio.
