Biography

Sarah focuses her practice on intellectual property disputes, including those involving trademarks, patents, copyrights, and unfair competition. She has represented clients in various U.S. District Courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Sarah practices before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board in inter partes review (IPR) proceedings, and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings. Sarah has experience in pre-filing investigations, discovery matters and disputes, various aspects of claim construction, and general motion practice.

As a registered patent attorney, Sarah’s expertise includes providing legal opinions with respect to infringement and validity of patents and trademarks. Sarah also has experience prosecuting U.S. patent applications in a variety of technology areas. Sarah’s litigation and transactional experience provide her with a well-balanced perspective when counseling and advising clients on managing their intellectual property portfolios.

Sarah attended The University of Akron School of Law and received a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law. During law school, Sarah served as President of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Association, Fellow for the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Center, and Managing Editor of the IP Issue of the Akron Law Review. Sarah currently serves as the Treasurer of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association.
