Renner Otto Attorneys Rita Kline & Sara Boone Named to Super Lawyers

Super Lawyers recognizes outstanding attorneys through a multi-step selection process that combines peer nominations, peer evaluations, and independent research. Candidates are assessed on twelve indicators of professional achievement and peer recognition, and selections are made annually on a regional basis. The goal is to create a credible, diverse, and well-rounded list of attorneys available for public engagement that serves as a resource for those seeking legal counsel.

The process begins with a candidate pool formed through peer nominations and internal research, with safeguards in place to prevent self-nomination, campaigning, or reciprocal voting. Nominations help identify candidates but do not guarantee selection. Super Lawyers then conducts in-depth independent research, followed by a peer review within each practice area, known as the blue ribbon review. Final selections are made by comparing candidates within firm-size categories, and only five percent of attorneys in each state are selected after background and license verification.

Rising Stars follows the same evaluation process with an additional eligibility requirement. Attorneys must be age forty or younger, or have ten years of practice or less. Candidates are first considered for Super Lawyers, and those who meet the eligibility criteria but are not selected are evaluated for Rising Stars. This distinction is limited to the top two and a half percent of attorneys in each state.
